I would like to become fluent in excel and in microsoft access.Is there a free tutorial for that ?
OK here's the dilly. I don't know alot about the ins and outs of a computer, so I need your help. What I would like to know (step by step) is, if I ever had Excel on my comp, and somehow managed to accidently put it somewhere else or delete it, how can I find out? Remember lamins terms and step by step.
Excel calculations?? So , I have this spreadsheet that calcutes elasped time. The first column is START TIME (A); the second is (B) END TIME; the third is (C) ELASPED TIME. To get elasped time I used the following formula: =TEXT(B2-A2, "h:mm") to return the time in Hours and Minutes. However, I would like ELASPED HOURS to returned as a decimal representation: Instead of time being returned as 23:30ours elasped , I would like it to be returned as 23.5 hours. Does anyone know a FORMULA that will return it as I described above? The times are formatted like this: 12/12/2010 10:15:00 PM

I have been asked to deliver a basic Excel training seminar and I have never used my HP laptop to connect to an overhead projector before. I need my "students" to be able to see me go through the step by step process of setting up worksheets. How do I do this? What kind of snags can I expect? Thanks! Sue
Ok here is my question: Sometimes I have to hide some of my worksheets in Excel, and later on when I want to unhide all of them, I have to do them one at a time. It's a pain because sometimes I can have up to 30 worksheets hidden at a time. Does anyone know if there is a way to unhide multiple worksheets at once? Do I have to run a macro? I can't believe the masterminds behind Microsoft software didn't think to make something so simple a little easier to do. Lol, thanks! :)
We all are aware of the SPREADSHEET in Microsoft excel. If any person types a formula in the cells, then the values obtained from the cells will be as per the formula set by the person who typed them. Thus, in a way the formulas typed in represent the mind logic and will of the person who typed them. Thus any values entered in the cells would be giving the final answer adhering to the formulas representing the will and desire of the person who typed those formulas. But you cannot see the face of that person in the spreadsheet when you are using the computer. Using the same analogy, we can understand that this Universe is like a SPREADSHEET adhering to laws and commands of ALLAH (SUBHAANAHU WA TA’ALAA), yet we cannot see him but the entire universe works on the commands of ALLAH (SUBHAANAHU WA TA’ALAA) which represent him. We know these laws as SCIENCE. Is it not true? What are your views and opinions on this ?

I have a Master list of conferences for different clients. I would like this data to filter into a different worksheet (same excel file) for each client seperately. I tried Advanced filter and had no luck. Each client has their own tab/worksheet. I dont want to have to copy and paste - I would like excel to grab the lines of data where the client is mentioned and filter it onto their seperate sheet. any help woudl be appreciated!!

I am trying to archive lots of data in Excel from different sources. I am having the problem of little spelling errors from the different sources not being recognized by excel as the same type of data. For example if one person had used the term "Table" and another used the short hand "Tab", I paste them both into a spreadsheet hoping that they are recognized as the same- but of course excel treats them as different. Is there a command in excel where I could search out every example of "Tab" and have excel change it to "Table"? Or some other quick way to get the same result?

I'm using Excel 2003 and creating a spreadsheet that references data in many files. The referenced files are updated monthly and the file names are appended with the month and version number. I'd like to create a tab that lists the numerous file name that I need to reference and then carry those file names into the formulas that reference the external data via the cell reference. A friend is thinking of purchasing a Mac for personal home use, but has been frustrated when he he has used Macs to work on Excel files (which he would need to regularly send home from his Windows PC at work, to work on documents at home). I think the main issue is not features or overall compatibility. (Mac Excel 2004 has basically the same features as the Windows version.) I think the issue, instead, has more to do with how to find/use the features, particularly keyboard shortcuts. I can't find on the Web any guide that would show how certain common Windows Excel features, especially keyboard shortcuts, translate on the Mac version. Can anyone help?
I wish not to double-click a cell in order to edit the content of that cell. Once I moved on a cell (with the arrow keys), if I start typing, the new text/number replaces the existing content. I wish to edit that content, not replace it. Currently, I can only double-click to edit the existing content. On Excel PC, F2 allows to go in edition mode in the selected cell. What is the equivalent on Mac?

I need a simple excel file which can calculate from one currency to another. It should have big buttons with currency picture, to select which currency is traded, an input field of howmuch foreign currency I receive and an output field which tells me howmuch to give the customer back. Besides that I must be able to input daily exchange rates for all currency's. An additional plus would be a print receipt option for customer and database option to store all days transaction. The biggest problem for me is to make buttons and to link it and make it work. Thanks
